Description A take on the world’s first blend, our Moonlight Blend combines Indonesian and African beans. We strive to achieve the traditional flavor from this original blend by using the best Ethiopian coffee to represent the flavors of Mocha, and the cleanest Indonesian coffee for the Java component to highlight the sweetness of dried fruit, warm earthiness, and rich cocoa. A brief bit of coffee history behind the name: The “Mocha” is named for where the coffee of Yemen was first traded at the ancient port of Mocha (or Moka, Mocca) hundreds of years ago. “Java” represents the then-Dutch colony where coffee was also grown on a commercial basis in the 18th century.
