Description The mellow days of Spring have arrived. You wipe the sweat from your forehead after a morning tending to the tulips in the garden. Laundry sways, drying in the sun’s patient warmth. A bowl of freshly cut watermelon slices glistens. A good book awaits you. All you need now is the perfect coffee for sun-soaked relaxation. The Duromina cooperative is celebrated as one of Ethiopia’s best single-origin farms. The coffee they produce is famous for its citrusy zest, floral flavors, and lemongrass aromas. But their success wasn’t an accident. The region’s journey from average to world-class began over fifteen years ago. Despite the land’s rich soil and ideal climate for growing, much of the coffee from Ethiopia’s Jimma District was contracted to large corporations at low prices. These corporations cared little for product quality, planning, or care — or their workers. The region’s coffee comeback began in 2010, when TechnoServe, a global non-profit, partnered with local farmers to invest in infrastructure and prioritize product quality. The farmers formed a new cooperative, Duromina, which directly translates their goal as: “to improve their lives.” By blending time-honored growing traditions with improved and efficient processing methods, farmers reclaimed both their craft and their livelihoods. What’s in the cup: a vibrant light roast with notes of bright lemon, gliding on soft florals of jasmine and peach, with an unmistakable sweet honeysuckle finish. Like spring itself, its story is one of transformation, excitement, and growth. Consider Ethiopia Duromina your first — official — sip of summer. __________ Jasmine, Peach Lemonhead Tasting Notes Light Roast Level Washed Process Sourced from the Jimma District, Ethiopia
